There are two types of emails that are sent in Openbadges.me. These are a welcome email for those who have created an account and when a badge has been issued. To edit these, navigate to "System Settings > Email Templates" in the left hand menu.
Each of these emails can be customised by changing the text that appears within the emails. For example, you may want to explain what an Open Badge is and how the recipients can use them. You can also add in several email parameters that will show data or links in the email. This is a list of all the email parameters you can use:
- {name}: If user is stored in the database, this will be replaced in user's name.
- {emailAddress}: The recipient's email address.
- {badgeName}: The badge name.
- {issuer}: The issuer name.
- {badgeImage}: The badge image.
- {badgeDownloadLink}: The badge “click here to download” link.
- {register}: The openbadges.me account registration link
- {shareLink}: A link for users to view and share their badge on social media.
