Understanding the Dashboard
The student progress dashboard is displayed on your homepage when you sign into the ePAD website. You can use the cohort drop-down to select any cohort to view. The students within the cohort are listed with their practice hours, form, and proficiency achievement progress. You can access a student’s ePAD by clicking on the student’s name.
Each key ePAD form is tracked by a square indicating its completion status. By hovering over a square, you can see extra text describing the form that is being referred to.
- Green square – completed form
- Red square – not completed yet and past its deadline
- Grey square – not completed yet and within deadline
Accessing the student’s ePAD allows you to see in more detail the practice hours and forms submitted by the student, as well as their access to complete forms (which should reflect the form settings in the cohort ePAD).
Using the practice hours page, accessed from a button on the student ePAD homepage, you can amend practice hours that the student has submitted, or add practice hours if appropriate to do so. When amending or adding practice hours it is important that they are approved by an appropriate member of staff, either a practice colleague if you are amending the record on their behalf, or a university colleague if they have authorised the change/addition. Hours should not be added to the student’s ePAD without appropriate authority (i.e., not simply on the student’s request).
