It is easier to add placement allocations manually within the ePAD admin portal if you only have one or two to add.
To do this, select the relevant Part and placement within the cohort ePAD, then select ‘Add Allocation’.
In the Create allocation window, select the student, placement area (if required), the start and end date of their placement and target hours for that placement. Select Create to save the allocation. The allocation will be instantly visible in the student’s ePAD and, if the placement is current, the student will be able to access the forms and submit practice hours.
If you are using an integration between Myprogress ePAD and a placement management system, this integration will drive the creation and management of placement allocations.
Please note - amendments to placement allocations should be done within the placement management system and they will be reflected in the ePAD after the overnight update. If any change you have made to a placement allocation within your placement management system is not reflected in the ePAD, please get in touch with our Helpdesk team via https://support.myknowledgemap.com/.
Student placement allocations can be amended directly within the ePAD admin portal, which will be necessary if you are not managing them via an integration with a placement management system.
You can amend student placement allocations via the ePAD admin option in the admin portal. Select the cohort ePAD, then select the Part and placement block relevant to the student’s allocation. A list of students with allocations in that block is displayed.
If you are making a change for a single student, select the student from the list to make amendments to their placement allocation.
In the Update allocation window, you can amend the placement area, placement dates and target hours for this student. Select ‘Update’ to save your changes. Any changes you make will be immediately reflected within the student’s ePAD.
You can also delete the allocation, which will remove this allocation from the student’s ePAD completely.
If you would like to make a change for all students or multiple students, you can either select all students or multi-select students from the list and perform a bulk action.
When you have selected all or multiple students, a ‘Bulk actions’ button will appear. The bulk action options allow you to change placement areas, dates, and target hours associated with all the students selected.
Within bulk actions, there is another option to ‘Move allocations’. By selecting this option you are able to move the placement allocation(s) from one Part and placement to another Part and placement. For example, if student allocations were incorrectly imported into Part 1 Placement 2, you could move all of these students into the correct placement of Part 1 Placement 1 using the bulk action ‘Move allocations’ option and selecting the Part 1 Placement 1 section.
Please note - when moving a student’s placement allocation from one placement to another, any forms or hours submitted during their previous placement will not be moved with them and will remain with the previous placement. Split and Hub and Spoke Placements
A student on a split or hub and spoke placement is indicated within the placement block by a chevron by the student’s name and ‘Multiple (n)’ in the area column. You can change these allocations in the same way as making a change to a single placement allocation by selecting the allocation you would like to amend. See the screenshot below.
