Hull York Medical School & MyProgress
The Hull York Medical School use MyProgress on both undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate courses (Physician Associate Studies). All students on the Physician Associate Studies programme were given iPad minis at the start of the course.
In 2015/2016, approximately 40 Year 5 MBBS students used MyProgress to capture workplace based assessments during a voluntary pilot. As a result, from this year (2016/17), all clinical skills assessments (sim safe, formative and summative) completed by year 3 & 5 MBBS students are being recorded in MyProgress.
MyProgress is also being used on our new (started sept 2016) MSc in Physician Associate Studies course for the collection of clinical skills assessments and the recording of mandatory training. In addition, all students are recording weekly reflective journal entries, a weekly case based discussion and supervisor feedback in MyProgress. All forms on this programme are deployed to the students – the onus is on them to make sure the relevant forms are completed at the relevant times.
In term 2, MyProgress will also be used for 360⁰ feedback and mini clinical evaluation exercises.
