Our Account Manager suggested some ways in which assessments can be completed by students and then marked by a tutor. It was suggested that by completing an assessment and sending it to a tutor, that a mark can then be provided by that tutor and reported on.
The process of completing an assessment and then being marked by a tutor seems to work well, but the mark doesn't appear in reports, specifically the assessment response report. Text comments are shown in the report, but a provided mark by a tutor does not show in that report.
The mark does appear as a percentage in the Cohort activity report, but a numeric value is not provided, and because this report is not grouped together on one sheet it is not suitable for analysis in the way that is needed.
Is there a way of retrieving the provided mark, as a numeric value rather than a percentage, as part of the assessment response report?
Unfortunately the cohort completion reports don't help in this instance, because the students will be completing the same assessment numerous times, and each score will count. What the tutors need in this instance is to see the score in the context of the information used in the assessment itself, for each instance of a completed assessment and in a report format. For this reason, the assessment response report is the closest solution, but that doesn't include the score.
I think ultimately what would resolve these issues, and many others, would be if there was a complete "data list" style report for an assessment, that provides all the available information for an assessment completion in a spreadsheet i.e. date released, synced date, completed date, assessor email, assessor name, score, and anything else that exists in the system along with what is already in the assessment response report (this report merging deployments would also be helpful). Although this report wouldn't be particularly easy to read, it would crucially mean that all the information for an assessment would be able to be exported, and then users could process it outside the system however they wish.
I hope that makes sense, I'd be happy to discuss more if more detail or clarity is needed. It seems that having this output, which would include all the data, might resolve a lot of the issues where at the moment our users feel that information is unavailable, by instead allowing them to get the data in a form where they can process/analyze the information for themselves using Excel in a flexible way.
