Quality Management Systems

MyKnowledgeMap already operates with many of the principles that underpin ISO 9001 embedded in its day-to-day ways of working. We follow structured development and release processes, maintain documented procedures, gather and act on customer feedback, conduct regular internal reviews of product and service performance, and operate a culture of continual improvement across our product and delivery teams. The substance of what ISO 9001 requires is largely present in how we run the business , what we do not have is the formal certification process to verify and evidence it to a third party.

 

For an SME of our current size, the overhead of maintaining a fully documented and externally audited QMS , while valuable in principle , would consume resource disproportionate to the benefit at this stage of our growth. Certification processes require significant investment in documentation, internal audit capability, management review cycles, and ongoing surveillance audits, which represent a meaningful cost and time burden for a small team focused on product development and customer delivery.

 

Importantly, our product MyProgress runs on Microsoft Azure, which holds ISO 9001:2015 certification independently verified by accredited third-party auditors. The certification covers Azure's core platform services , meaning the infrastructure and cloud operations that underpin MyProgress are already operating within a formally certified quality management framework.

 

We will continue to review this position as we scale. ISO 9001 certification is something we would consider proactively as we grow our enterprise customer base, particularly where it becomes a requirement in public sector procurement frameworks or a differentiator in competitive tender processes
